Video Production
For the last 25 years I have been involved in freelance video production and broadcast television in CT. As a freelancer, I gained a diverse number of specialties that allow me to work in just about any position on a production crew. After 11 years at ESPN as an Associate Director and Network Coordinator/Trainer, I gained the confidence to produce live television that was seen by millions every night. I walked away from that experience in 2004 searching for more artistic and meaningful work. I have since developed a flourishing freelance business providing photography and creative documentaries for the arts community in CT. I've invested in a professional HD camera and editing system and I've been rockin' it ever since.
Recent clients include Young Audiences of CT (over 20 artist promotional documentaries in 2010) and New Britain Museum of American Art (Gravity of Color, 2008). I have worked on instructional videos for Martin Guitars and created a series of Tai Chi with Erik Harris:

Viewings of the this important film are being offered at schools as an empowering assembly that gives students an opportunity to view people with difabilities from a new perspective.
Teaching Youth Media has also been a passion of mine. In 2006, I received a “Bright Ideas” grant from the Greater Hartford YMCA to create the curriculum for a teen filmmaking program and since 2008 I have been the Instructor and Department Chairman for the Filmmaking program at Center For Creative Youth at Wesleyan. Working with kids has given me a fresh perspective and motivates me to stay on top of developing technologies and create innovative work.
